Refund policy

Preamble
We, the undersigned proprietors of Khorifica, do hereby establish and make known to all plant parents, enthusiasts, and cultivators of green life, the terms and conditions governing the return, exchange, and refund of products purchased through our establishment. Let it be understood that these provisions are set forth with the utmost consideration for fairness, customer satisfaction, and the maintenance of product quality standards.
Article I: General Return Provisions
Section 1.1 - Return Window
You shall have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return of eligible products. Returns requested beyond this timeframe shall not be accepted, save for exceptional circumstances as determined at our sole discretion.
Section 1.2 - Condition of Returned Items
All returned products must be in their original, unused, and resalable condition. Items must be accompanied by all original packaging, tags, labels, instructions, and accessories. Products showing signs of use, damage, modification, or lacking original packaging may be rejected or subject to a restocking fee.
Section 1.3 - Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase, including but not limited to order confirmation, receipt, or invoice number, must be provided for all return requests. We reserve the right to deny returns without proper documentation.
Article II: Eligible & Ineligible Items
Section 2.1 - Eligible Products for Return
The following categories of products may be returned within the prescribed timeframe, subject to the conditions herein established:
- Pots, planters, and containers (unused and in original packaging)
- Gardening tools and implements (unused and in original condition)
- Plant care accessories (moisture meters, trellises, stakes, etc.)
- Books, guides, and educational materials (in original condition)
- Decorative items and plant stands
Section 2.2 - Non-Returnable Products
In the interest of health, safety, and hygiene, the following products are deemed final sale and shall not be eligible for return under any circumstances:
- Soil, potting mix, and growing media (opened or unopened)
- Fertilizers, pesticides, and liquid amendments (opened or unopened)
- Live plants or any botanical specimens
- Propagation materials and seeds
- Products marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
- Gift cards and digital products
- Items damaged due to misuse, negligence, or circumstances beyond our control
Section 2.3 - Personalized or Custom Items
Products that have been customized, personalized, or specially ordered at your request shall not be eligible for return unless they arrive defective or damaged.
Article III: Return Process & Procedures
Section 3.1 - Initiating a Return
To commence the return process, you must contact our customer service through the designated channels on our website within the fourteen (14) day return window. You shall provide your order number, reason for return, and photographic evidence if the return is due to damage or defect.
Section 3.2 - Return Authorization
Upon receipt of your return request, we shall review the matter and, if approved, issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. No returns shall be accepted without a valid RMA number. Packages returned without authorization may be refused or delayed in processing.
Section 3.3 - Return Shipping
You shall bear the responsibility and cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error, product defect, or damage during transit. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot be held liable for items lost or damaged during return transit.
Section 3.4 - Return Shipping Address
All authorized returns must be shipped to the address provided in your RMA confirmation. Returns sent to any other address, including our retail locations or corporate offices, may not be processed.
Article IV: Refunds & Processing
Section 4.1 - Refund Method
Upon receipt and inspection of your returned item, refunds shall be issued to the original payment method used for purchase. We do not offer refunds in cash or to alternative payment methods.
Section 4.2 - Refund Timeline
Refunds shall be processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days following our receipt and inspection of the returned merchandise. Please note that depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional three (3) to five (5) business days for the refund to appear in your account.
Section 4.3 - Refund Amount
The refund amount shall equal the purchase price of the returned item(s). Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or product defect. Any promotional discounts or gift cards used in the original purchase shall be credited proportionally.
Section 4.4 - Restocking Fee
Items returned without original packaging, with missing components, or showing minor signs of use may be subject to a restocking fee of up to twenty percent (20%) of the item's purchase price, to be deducted from your refund.
Section 4.5 - Partial Refunds
In certain circumstances, partial refunds may be granted for items that are returned but do not meet all return conditions. Such determinations shall be made at our sole discretion and communicated to you prior to processing.
Article V: Exchanges
Section 5.1 - Exchange Policy
We accept exchanges for products of equal or greater value within the thirty (30) day return window. Should you wish to exchange an item for one of lesser value, the price difference shall be refunded to your original payment method.
Section 5.2 - Exchange Process
To request an exchange, you must follow the return process outlined in Article III and indicate your desired replacement item. Upon receipt and approval of your returned item, we shall dispatch the replacement product.
Section 5.3 - Out of Stock Items
Should your desired replacement item be out of stock at the time of exchange processing, we shall offer you the option to: (a) wait until the item is restocked, (b) select an alternative item of equal value, or (c) receive a full refund.
Article VI: Damaged or Defective Products
Section 6.1 - Reporting Damage or Defects
Should you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you must report such issues within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. Photographic evidence of the damage or defect must be provided to substantiate your claim.
Section 6.2 - Our Responsibility
For items damaged during shipping or products with manufacturing defects, we shall, at our discretion: (a) issue a full refund including original shipping costs, (b) send a replacement product at no additional charge, or (c) offer store credit for the full purchase amount plus shipping.
Section 6.3 - Return Shipping for Damaged/Defective Items
When returning damaged or defective items, we shall provide a prepaid return shipping label. You shall not be responsible for return shipping costs in such circumstances.
Article VII: Wrong Item Shipped
Section 7.1 - Our Error in Fulfillment
In the event that we ship an incorrect item to you, we accept full responsibility. You must notify us within seven (7) days of delivery, and we shall arrange for the correct item to be sent immediately at no additional cost.
Section 7.2 - Return of Wrong Items
We shall provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item. You are not obligated to return the wrong item before receiving the correct one, though we kindly request its return within fourteen (14) days of receiving your correct order.
Article VIII: Cancellations
Section 8.1 - Order Cancellation Window
You may cancel your order without penalty if the cancellation request is submitted before the order has been dispatched from our facility. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must be returned in accordance with this Return Policy.
Section 8.2 - Cancellation Process
To cancel an order, contact our customer service immediately with your order number. If the cancellation is successful, a full refund shall be issued to your original payment method within three (3) to five (5) business days.
Article IX: Store Credit
Section 9.1 - Store Credit Option
In lieu of a refund to your original payment method, you may elect to receive store credit in the form of a gift card code. Store credit shall be issued for the full amount of the return, including original shipping charges.
Section 9.2 - Store Credit Terms
Store credit does not expire and may be applied to future purchases. Store credit cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-transferable.
Article X: Exceptions & Special Circumstances
Section 10.1 - Holiday Returns
Products purchased during designated holiday periods may be eligible for extended return windows. Such extensions shall be clearly communicated at the time of purchase and on our website.
Section 10.2 - Bulk or Wholesale Orders
Returns for bulk or wholesale orders are subject to separate terms and conditions. Please contact our wholesale department for specific return provisions.
Section 10.3 - Discretionary Exceptions
While we endeavor to apply this policy uniformly and fairly, we reserve the right to make exceptions in extraordinary circumstances at our sole discretion.

Section 11.2 - Good Faith Resolution
We are committed to resolving all return-related issues in a manner that is fair, reasonable, and expeditious. Your satisfaction remains our paramount concern, and we shall work diligently to address any grievances.
Section 11.3 - Escalation Process
Should you remain unsatisfied with the initial resolution of your return matter, you may request escalation to a supervisor or manager for further review.
Article XII: Amendments to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update this Return Policy at any time. Any such changes shall be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase shall govern your return rights.
Article XIII: Governing Law
This Return Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America and the state in which our principal place of business is located. Any disputes arising from return matters shall be resolved through good faith negotiation or, if necessary, through appropriate legal channels within the United States.
